When did we forget?

This post may make you mad... I apologize for that in advance but I feel like it needs to be said... I hear so many ppl call themselves Calvinist, Methodists, Baptists, Presbyterians, Pentecostal, and so forth... I feel like this is so pathetic! When did we forget that we are Christians? Followers of Christ! Now don't get me wrong... I don't think its horrible to ask/tell others what denomination you are but when the main focus is about what denomination you are and not on the fact that we are Followers of Christ & in this thing together there is something wrong! Now the biggest problem with this is how when we have our minds set on our separate denomination we miss out on truly being the body of Christ! We as believers are called to the same ultimate thing and that is found in Isaiah 42 “I, the LORD, have called you in righteousness; I will take hold of your hand. I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles,⁷ to open eyes that are blind, to free captives from prison and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness." And yet we get so comfortable in our own little building where WE GET ALL SPIRITUALLY FAT HEADED ON OUR THRONES OF SELF SATISFACTION! And its absolutely ridiculous! Everyday ppl are dying and going to hell and we just sit around as to say "Who Cares..." I'm not trying to just beat you down but what I am doing is calling us all to action! There are so many churches and so many lost ppl yet we fight for the ones who are already in the seats... There is something wrong with this picture... Why not work together instead of against... Its not easy for me as a Christian... Its a daily struggle... And I know I'm not the only one! We all need support, Encouragement, & Accountability... When was the last time you asked someone how their Relationship with Christ was doing? I don't remember the last time someone asked me... And this is sad... I don't ask others as much as I should either so I'm not just getting on you! We all have those areas we need to work on! But let's take this one very serious! Your Fellow brothers & sisters need you! They need your friendship and your love... More ppl then you know drop out of the ministry everyday & I think that if we just gave some encouragement & started to Love them as Christ Loves us the number would be much different! My past few days

I have been good the past couple of days! God has been doing big things in my life! He works in the coolest ways! He may not always bless me in material ways but He def blesses me with the fruit from the work He has in trusted me with! So I have been feeling over whelmed with all I have to do in the next couple of weeks and months... There is just alot to do! The new year brings new things... This year is bringing good things but still very over whelming... And this time is truly beautiful because this shows us how much we need Jesus! I need Him to guide my very path! With out His guidance I'm lost! God has also been showing me how real the spiritual battle is! Eph 6 the best place I have found in the bible about spiritual warfare.. Now I have felt very attacked  the past week or so... Satan tries to distract me & put horrible thoughts in my mind... He has come to kill, steal & destroy (John 10:10)... Last Saturday on my way home I had to just scream at the enemy... I yelled @ him at the top of my lungs for about 20 mins and it felt great! I had to let it out... We must fight him! This battle is so real... We must fight! Our sword is the WORD! I will not give up! And I pray that you will not also! He is worth our effort! Self-Contol

I was watching a program for men the other day an they were talking about self-control! It was exactly what I needed! One thing they said was "how can you resist sexual temptation if you cant even resist an extra cheese burger." Now this does not only work with sexual temptation but in all aspects of our life! I do not have the best eating habits & exercise habits and I know it is not ok! God calls our bodies a temple... Basically meaning a place to worship! I have to get it in order! We all do! If we are going to live sold out for Christ we have to get all aspects in order! I love to eat! Ice cream is my favorite! And I could at it all day & I have... But this has to stop! I'm not overweight but I'm not healthy! I do get some exercise but not enough! We need to give God our best, not our leftovers! Check out Genesis 4... It has to do with giving God our best! He gave us His best! Let's do this! He is worth it! This week let's commit to everyday exercising for 30 minutes and also praying for 30 minutes straight! Let's get quite before God! He wants our attention! Be Encouraged! Share Jesus with someone this Christmas season! People are very receptive! Love You Guys!

Sometimes it gets so hard! Sometimes it feels like everything is falling apart, and maybe those things that we see are... We can feel like giving up so often... We feel like its not worth it! We loose friends, family, jobs, money, cars, houses, etc. We say how can this be happening to me? I'm a good person and I deserve better then this... I want a wife and kids so bad and sometimes I feel like I'm owed that but the truth is that God has already given us all we need! No person, amount of money, possession, sex, drug, drink, whatever will ever satisfy us... We will always want more bc they only give us temporary fulfillment! God tells us all through the bible that He loves us, and that He is there for us, and most importantly in John 10:10 Jesus says "I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." You see He sent Jesus so that we could truly live! The Bible is truth and God is real! Yet we an go through our everyday life and act like He is not... This Christmas is a great opportunity for us as Christians to tell somebody about the life that Christ wants to give us! Its not do this do that... Its "look at what Christ has done" He has paid the price! Let's stop gratifying our sinful desires and start living our lives through Him! He does not need us but He wants to use us!
