Prayer

Starting out back in 2007 when the idea to LUVnLUGZ came to me, I had huge dreams for the company.  My prayer at that time and up until about 6 months ago I had envisioned this huge organization that was impacting the lives of millions of people.  I'm not saying this is bad, but I'm finding now that ONE matters, and that sometimes things start smaller, and it takes a lot of Faith and work to grow.  

When you look at the story of Joseph in the Bible you see that at a young age he had these HUGE amazing dreams about him ruling over his brothers.  We later see that he was sold into slavery by his brothers and that he had to start from a slave and work to finally become a very high rank.  Although God gave him a dream, it was not smooth sailing for him.  He went through some hardships before he got to where he was destined to go.

God has given me a dream for LUVnLUGZ and I have this great passion for it.  But what I have to realize is that it will not just be an easy ride and everything will not just fall together for me (Not saying it's out of God's hands, because if He wanted to He could put it together in an instant).  I still have those same big dreams, but I'm not starting with the big dreams right away.  In time it will develop.

Someone asked me last night, what is stopping me from starting the organization.  I paused for a moment and many things went through my mind like: need more people who have the same passion to help, not enough money, time, no large vehicles for transportation, ect.  But instead I answered that it was probably because I'm not trusting Jesus completely.  The entire process is very daunting to me, but I have to remember that God wants me to trust Him completely.  Sometimes God puts us in situations which we can not handle on our own or does things in our lives which force us to turn to Him.  That is what I feel God is doing with me.  LUVnLUGZ is way more then I can handle by my self, but with God the impossible is made possible.

I read a question yesterday that stopped me in my tracks: "What would you be willing to attempt for God if
you KNEW you could not fail?" The truth is that I would be pursuing my vision more intensely.  This does not mean it has to be great right away.  It may never be great and that is ok with me now.  I may never reach millions, but if I reach ONE it's worth it.  Why?  Because that ONE matters to God.  Years ago God broke my heart for broken people, and I want to be apart of seeing broken people made whole!  That's why Jesus came (Mark 2:17)!  So my new prayer is for that ONE, and I will do what it takes to reach the ONE.  I Hope no matter how small or large it grows that I will never loose sight of that ONE.  Pray with me also for God's hand to lead my steps!  God Bless You!

Why?

I was watching some video's on YouTube tonight and I found one that really hit home for me.  My current work situation can be frustrating and times, and has also been very discouraging.  I was reminded today that I cannot control how others act, but I can control my attitude.  And not only that, but I can make the choice to make a difference in someones life each day.  When people are rude to me, my first reaction is to be rude right back.  But that is not how Jesus is or was.  Jesus loved when everyone turned on Him.  Philippians 2:5 says, "Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus (NIV)..."  It would significantly change the way I dealt with people if I always reminded my self of this.  Most of the time I'm worried about my current feelings and I don't think long term.  But, I want this to change, because although right now I'm in an unfavorable position, that is not the goal.  And even more important, like the video says, my why has everything to do with Jesus.  The reason I'm working hard to start LUVnLUGZ is because Jesus died for all, even the incarcerated, and because He loves everyone RIGHT WHERE THEY ARE!  My WHY needs to drive my attitude.  My WHY can change the world.  There is a PASSION that inside of each and everyone of us, and is so eager to come out!  Release YOUR PASSION and watch the world be changed.  We are the ones who will make a difference in the world!

UR life speaks

We as humans have distinct personalities and all are unique in some way... We all have a great potential & we all also have a destiny...  We all have the potential, placed by God, to do great things... We have people who are watching us and who look at how we live.  My point is that our lives matter and we all set some kind of example.  The question though is... What example are you setting?  Are you the kind of person who people look to as a dream chaser or someone who just waits for everything to fall to you?  Do you get out and do something important, or are you wasting your life just sitting around?  What is it that you want for your self?  Are you going to go after it?  What are you passionate about?  Are you pursuing it, or are you letting it drive you to greatness?  Don't let it just sit there.  Act on what it is you love...  Is rejection stopping you?  I will tell you right now you will be rejected at some point in your life, and no it's not easy, but you can get through it!  I have not always chased everything I have been passionate about and I have not always been someone to rise above opposition... But I refuse to continue to sit back and let my calling slip by!  I want to be a man who chases after my hopes and dreams!  Especially as Christians we should be living our lives to the max!  Quit holding back!  Also people are watching us and if our mouths say one thing but our lives say another there is a problem... People see that and it gives a bad name to Christ... In a song by DC Talk it says;  

"The Single Greatest Cause Of Atheism In The World Today Is Christians Who Acknowledge Jesus With Their Lips, Then Walk Out The Door And Deny HIM By Their Lifestyle. This Is What An Unbelieving World Simply Finds Unbelievable."

Don't just be another Christian... Follow Jesus recklessly with every breath!  Let's be changed people who are living in view of that change!
